Nearing the Year…

So maybe our pal Glyn Richards has a magic get out of jail free button? (Get out of Jail Free Cards are very 20th century!) Because as we close in on one year since his arrest he is yet to see any jail time.  Some people are losing faith in the criminal justice system, some even call out the FBI and CCPO in the comments section of this blog.  I have no control over the opinions that appear here, but I welcome each to their own opinion.  I am still of the notion that the wheels of justice move slow and that Glyn Richard’s time behind bars, BACK behind bars is coming.  Again, that is my opinion based upon nothing other then that, my opinion.

As far as the blog, I have very little time to monitor the comments, but I WILL REMOVE any that give addresses and phones of people.  Legally I’d like to keep that stuff out of here.   People have been very cooperative on that front, and for that I thank you.

I have also been called out as of late that the blog is “not factual.” The blog is opinions, testimony and venting that was designed to give the victims a forum and to warn potential victims that these criminals exist.  Glyn Richards, specifically, and people like Glyn Richard in general…they exist, you think they are your friend, and they will use that to rob you blind if you let them.   I never meant to insinuate , nor could I ever control, whether what people choose to post under their own names, or anonymously is factual.

I have heard on good authority that this blog has helped someone that had no idea of Glyn’s past criminal history become informed before someone they knew as “GLENN RICHARDS” hit them up for money they’d never see again.   Glen Richards, Glynn Richards, Glyn Richards, Glenn Richards, or GLENNIFER Richards when he is someone’s girlfriend in jail….BEWARE.  The guys got a spotty past with taking other people’s money!  On the surface you’d never think so, but consult the NJDOC, read the articles of his arrest, or read the victim’s stories, he’s done some bad things!

I look forward to more comments, more awareness being spread, more healing, and would love to get more victim’s stories…  All I ask is….

• No Names for people that are NOT under arrest. Euphemisms are fine, no PROPER NOUNS.
  
• No Addresses for people’s where abouts.  Feel free to trade them amongst yourselves, but not the blog.
  
• No threats of his family.  We chose to let Glyn in our lives, they didn’t. Some of them are victims too.

Other then that?  Blog on everybody…  have a great summer!  Maybe we will get a nice LOSS of INDEPENDENCE DAY present this year and they will put Glyn away?

Glyn Richards Federal Update

So all has been quiet on the Glyn Richards front, but I have recieved a packet that the case is now in Federal hands. That may prolong the inevitable for Glyn Richards, but it will increase the liklihood that his time will be much stiffer, and much longer. Does it also increase the liklihood that the investigation gets much broader in scope and others may be in a little trouble with him? We’ll see. I can’t beleive all the government agencies that are now invloved, as per my victim packet, could mean anything other then that they are widening the investigation. Millions are unaccounted for and there are people that have been invloved for years. Common sense tells me that the wheels of justice move slow and that in a case of this complexity others will be called to answer for their involvement and that is the delay we have now; further investigation. It might not be as simple as Glyn Richards devised a Ponzi and carried it out. I really doubt it is that simple in the eyes of the investigators. He accepted monies out of state for instance, THAT adds a layer, he misrepresented government agencies, THAT adds a layer, oh and by the way he was surrounded by people that made some money that could have wittingly, or unwittingly aided in this whole process…THAT adds a layer. (How they reported or NOT reported that money could REALLY add a layer!).

SO, unlike the posts I have recieved about him, “getting away with it,” I instead think it is just a matter of the investigators getting all their ducks in a row. That is my opinion based only on conjecture. But I bought a ticket to the Glyn Richards freakshow in the form of phony investments, so I am entitled to an opinion. So are all of you and I welcome you to comment… I ask only that if you have comments about people other then Glyn Richards, you find ways to reference them other then their real names and definitely not their addresses! Just saves me some potential legal problems. Happy New Year. Don’t Buy any Wooden Nickels… any more I mean!  ha ha ha…

Courier Post Reactions & Discussions.

So Glyn Richards once again made it into the paper. It was a nice article and Jim Walsh did a really nice job. I was happy the blog got some press. That was my main goal of starting this blog. To make Glyn Richards findable on the web. I, like may others, searched for him before I invested and found nothing. Any information would have saved me and others like me that searched, $1000’s and $1000’s.

The article comments at the end gave voice to a lot of people that wanted to take anonymous pot shots about how dumb the investors are, how we got what deserved, we were greedy, etc. etc. I do not easily fathom how JOHN Q. PUBLIC reads a story about two teachers that get ripped off by an EX CONVICT with a rap sheet a mile long, and automatically choose to slam the victims of the crime and give the ex-con a pass. Fascinating.

But in the end, no comment is a bad one, and all comments serve what was my original purpose. MORE EXPOSURE for GLYN RICHARDS and his alleged crimes. The comments that call us dumb are just as effective, if not more, at keeping Glyn Richards highly visible and exposed. So, it sucks for people to call you stupid that you invested…No one likes that, but every keystroke positive or negative is worth it to keep the story where potential victims can find it. The biggest mistake people victimized by white-collar crime make is SILENCE. They get embarrassed and never speak of it again.

I took another route. I decided to tell as many people as I know, because I don’t want it to happen to anyone else. I am not embarrassed, or ashamed, or greedy, and I don’t want sympathy. I just want to make people aware. And I have.

So, here you go…comment away. Good, Bad or Different…they all serve the blogs purpose of keeping him exposed. It’s hard to scam people when you are this exposed…

Too Many Sleepless Nights

 

 

 

Never would I have believed that I was being duped by a friend that stood in my house and explained to me his business. Glyn’s explanations of how he started the DOD business were remarkable (or just stupidity on my part). My first question was why are you not going to a bank to secure a loan for this type of money. His response well the contracts are “no bid” and the money needs to go oversees quickly (going the bank route is to cumbersome). Not only knowing him and his wife through the school our kids attended and the sports I coached his son in, it was inconceivable that they would be scamming friends for money. But we all know how that ended up.

But what really kills me is the how this totally blindsided all of us and has caused financial and emotional damage to many families.

The thousands of dollars that have been stolen from my family and those closes to me have robbed us of opportunity. Opportunity that we have earned through hard, honest work. The stolen opportunities are countless- our children’s college tuition, retirement savings, home improvements, etc. This loss of money has forced my wife to return to work full-time. She has been working part-time for 7 years caring for our 3 children. Now she must return full-time to help cover the losses. Very Interesting Article

The Newest Victim

I have read all the articles about how Glyn Richards has taken money, hope and faith in mankind from many families in NJ and now across the country. Thankfully he has been arrested. His arrest should curtail his capacity to fraud people out of money. If not, it is my hope that this blog serves as a major roadblock in his efforts to deceive innocent people.

But there is one more “victim” in harms way. My fantasy football league. Glyn was the 10th player in my Fantasy League last year. He did JUST enough to pretend he had the same interests as us, so he could keep stealing our money. And I think we thought, Glyn couldn’t possibly be full of shit, he’s in our league!?!??!

But he was full of shit. (I should have known it when he drafted Culpepper as his starter!?) And now my league is without a 10th. So, if you are a Fantasy Footballer, (many of those), that hates Glyn, (many of those too), and still has enough money left to play (fewer of those!) let us know. League has been around a long time. He took thousands from me and my friends… he’s not taking out league.

Googling Glyn Richards

In this day and age the world is at our fingertips. At work, at home, even on our cellphones we are never far from the World Wide Web. When I was first asked to be a part of what I later found out was the All Freight Logistics scam, I got involved based on trust of my friends. MOSTLY on trust. That’s not to say I didn’t google my ass off as well. I googled Glyn Richards, Glen Richards, Glenn Richards, Glynn Richards, Glennifer Richards, in a addition to a host of “All Freight Logistics” combinations.  I was skeptical … ONE bad result on Google would have saved me thousands.

What I found was nothing.

Just like his King’s Highway Audubon office had no signage of any sort, Glyn Richards, (our Glyn Richards) had no “webprint” so to speak of either. (I did find Glyn Richards the author.) I later found out that HAD I googled Garden State Brokerage and Glyn Richards together, I’d have gotten a very helpful freight forwarder board called “ALLEGED CROOKED BROKERS.” (And Mr. Richards is mentioned on that board. Shocked?!?) But with just googling his name, that result was buried 100’s of pages in.

The goal of this blog is threefold. It is part therapy for those that have been victimized, part a place to share information, and lastly, and maybe most important, it’s a warning.   A warning that frauds exists in general, and a warning that ours, in particular exists. Glyn Richards will go to jail someday, but for now he is free and may seek new “investors”. If other “investors” are approached, I hope they take 2 seconds to Google “glyn richards.”

This blog will be there waiting for them on the first page of results. (Currently number 2 over all.) Give it a try!

The Scammer

My husband and I (I should say my children, too) are all victims of Glyn Richards. My husband was introduced to him by a mutual friend. When my husband explained the “investment” to me I was instantly skeptical. But he assured me that this guy was legit. At first the money came in but then it stopped and all we heard was one excuse after another…my friend died…my uncle died…I’m waiting on the DOD to send the check…the terror plot at Fort Dix delayed the check…blah, blah, blah. My husband would go to Glyn’s office in the morning and wait for him to show up for “work.” He fed my husband a bunch of bullshit every time. This man has destroyed us financially. I am a stay-at-home Mom who is now faced with having to go back to work and find someone to care for our four year old son and fourteen month old daughter. I have creditors

Completely Lambasted

I am writing this blog not to make you feel bad for me but for the purpose of sharing my story with all of you as I really need a shoulder to cry on right now.

I met Glyn back in 2000. I was a manager at my current employer and one of my tasks was managing all of our freight. One afternoon, I got a fax flyer from his company at the time, Garden State Brokerage, Inc. I needed a quote for a shipment and Glyn gave me the best price. He did the delivery for me and from there, he became my exclusive carrier. Going forward, we became good friends, close enough that I met all of his family, attended Christmas parties at his house in Barrington, birthday parties, he came to my wedding in ’02, heck, he even took me to the Super Bowl in ’03! My wife and his got along real well and we had good times together, real good.  He would even
